5 in a day: K-State's recruiting rise?

Ask a Kansas State fan when the last time the football program scored five commitments in one day. A very small handful -- if any -- can answer that question quickly.

After entering Saturday’s Kansas State camp with eight commitments, the Wildcats finished the day by nearly doubling its 2014 class. Five players -- three-star receiver T.L. Ford (Cartersville, Ga./Cartersville), three-star athlete Mike Stevens (Davidson, N.C./Davidson Day), receiver Dominique Heath (Huntersville, N.C./Hopewell) and safeties Kaleb Prewett (Blue Springs, Mo./Blue Springs) and Kendall Adams (Fort Worth, Texas/All Saints Episcopal) -- gave verbal commits to the Kansas State coaches on a day ultimately considered monumental.
