Bivins Caraway (Longview, Texas) picked up his first offer Wednesday, as Navy extended a scholarship to the pocket-passing quarterback.
Caraway said receivers coach Mick Yokitis contacted his head coach, Longview’s John King, Wednesday morning. A 6-foot, 200-pound sleeper in the 2013 class, Caraway threw for 2,425 passing yards and 23 touchdowns with only five interceptions.
“When I found out, I just started cheesing,” said Caraway, who participated in the Nike Football Training Camp at the Dallas Cowboys practice facility on Sunday. “It’s a good feeling. I’m really appreciative of it. I just want to keep working hard.”
Caraway led Longview to the third round of the Texas Class 5A playoffs in 2011. In addition to his offer, Caraway also is receiving interest from Kansas State and Houston.
