Jay Arnold discusses Texas A&M visit

ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive end Jay Arnold (Heath, Texas/Rockwall-Heath) had nothing but high praise for Texas A&M after visiting the campus on Saturday.

Arnold had a chance to watch an A&M spring practice and said it and the overall College Station, Texas, experience was “No. 1, hands down” in comparison to some of the other schools on his list. A 6-foot-4, 255-pound end, Arnold took a lot out of A&M and said he is strongly considering the Aggies.

“The tradition is amazing. I really like the coaching staff, as well,” Arnold said. “It seems like they have great chemistry. It just feels like home.”

Recruited by receivers coach David Beaty, Arnold has been offered by A&M, along with schools such as Baylor, Tulsa, SMU, Ole Miss and Northwestern.

Arnold said that while A&M is high on his list, he will continue to visit other schools. He plans on visiting Tulsa this weekend. He visited LSU the weekend before traveling to A&M.
