Wide receiver J’Mon Moore (Missouri City, Texas/Elkins) currently is balancing a dozen offers, in addition to receiving interest from several other schools. West Virginia is his latest offer, but with schools such as LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma and Oregon showing interest, his list of offers could escalate at any time.
Moore, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound receiver with 4.52 speed in the 40-yard dash, finished the 2011 season with 30 catches for 722 yards and seven touchdowns. He lined up alongside 2012 receiver Chance Allen, who signed with Oregon in January.
Moore currently has offers from Arizona, Michigan State, Miami, Missouri, New Mexico State, Purdue, Tulsa, Texas A&M and Big 12 schools Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia.
“It’s been a blessing, and I’m thankful for everything,” Moore said. “It’s been a good experience, and my hard work is paying off.”
Moore said all of the schools are sending handwritten letters, but he’s heard most from Texas Tech and West Virginia as of late. He said he will attend Missouri’s spring game on April 14.
Moore said he will be looking for a school with a great coaching staff, a family atmosphere and a positive academic reputation.
