ESPN 150 WR Cunningham talks OSU visit

Oklahoma State may have been considered a bit of a long shot for ESPN 150 wide receiver Jordan Cunningham (Davie, Fla./University School) when he announced his top six several weeks ago, however, the Cowboys might be moving up on the 6-foot-2, 175-pound senior’s board after an official visit this past weekend.

“It was a very nice experience,” Cunningham said. “I went there with my teammate, Mike White, and everything was very nice.

“The campus was amazing and the coaching staff was pretty chill but productive. I would say this trip definitely improved my overall opinion of Oklahoma State.”

Cunningham and White were on hand to see an exciting back and forth Big 12 battle between Oklahoma State and Texas. The Longhorns won 41-36 but that didn’t take away from Cunningham’s game-day experience.

“Stillwater is a real college town so everyone in the community gets behind the team,” Cunningham said. “They were into it from beginning to end and it’s a loud stadium. The people that knew who I was were so nice and asking me if I had a good time. They definitely make you feel like family.”

Despite having a good time this weekend Cunningham is no closer to making a decision. There are more visits to take and the next one will likely be to Notre Dame.

“I haven’t set a date yet because I want to talk with my parents first,” Cunningham added.

Miami, Florida State, Alabama and Stanford are also on Cunningham’s short list. He isn’t sure if he will make his final announcement at the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game or wait closer to national signing day.
