ESPN 150 WR enjoys TTU spring game

With one word, ESPN 150 wide receiver K.D. Cannon (Mount Pleasant, Texas/Mount Pleasant) further piqued the interest of Texas Tech followers and supporters.

When asked about his thoughts on Texas Tech's spring game Saturday, Cannon responded with, “Outstanding.”

It was enough to make people wonder where the four-star receiver’s head is during the recruiting process. Along with Texas Tech, Cannon has offers from Baylor, Texas Texas A&M, TCU and many more, but with Texas Tech being his second spring game appearance -- Baylor was his first -- the race for the nation’s No. 58 player now becomes even more intriguing.

“I liked it,” Cannon said. “There were a lot of people here, and it was crazy. It was a lot of fun.”

While he said he enjoyed himself, he wouldn’t tip his hat as to which schools truly are in front. Offers outside of the state for Cannon include Florida State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Miami, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Ole Miss and West Virginia, among others. Cannon is considered the fifth-best receiver in the country and the No. 8 player in Texas.
