Pittsburg State gets two more from Oklahoma

Per Bob Przybylo of ESPN’s SoonerNation.com, NCAA Division II national champion Pittsburg State has picked up two more commitments from the state of Oklahoma.

Three-star dual-threat quarterback Ramsey Hamilton (Beggs, Okla.) & burly running back Dre Holman (Oklahoma City/Putnam City North) have given their verbal commitments to play for the Gorillas. Pittsburg State beat Wayne State (Mich.) to win the Division II championship on Dec. 17.

Hamilton, 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, threw for 1,635 yards and 16 touchdowns and, with 4.5 speed in the 40-yard dash, also was a reliable run option for Beggs. He had interest from SMU, Tulsa, Houston and several other schools. Holman, 5-foot-8 and 200 pounds, rushed for 1,452 yards and 14 touchdowns for Putnam City North. Holman had an offer from Wyoming and early interest from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Tulsa.
