On Tuesday, ESPNU 150 Watch List DE Jay Arnold (Heath, Texas/Rockwall-Heath) told the world about football, wrestling and mixed martial arts. Ask him about his team, and he’s quick to talk about the players around him.
Arnold, a 6-foot-4, 255-pound defensive end, is looking for his team to be among the elite in Texas during the 2012 season. While he had 44 tackles, a team-high 13 sacks and three caused fumbles, Arnold has high expectations for teammates to put up similar – if not better – numbers when the season starts in August.
Here are four players who can be difference-makers for Rockwall-Heath for the upcoming season.
OLB Raaquan Davis: Davis showed in 2011 that he has a real nose for the football. He finished the year with 111 tackles and also had an interception and a fumble recovery for the Hawks. At 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, Davis can play linebacker or safety. Davis has offers from Baylor, Tulsa, Ole Miss, Northwestern, Purdue, North Carolina and Connecticut, and his stock is expected to rise in the spring.
