Three-star quarterback and Elite 11 national finalist DeVante Kincade (Dallas/Skyline) picked up his eighth offer Monday night, as Oregon State officially joined the race.
Kincade now has two offers from Pac-12 schools in Oregon State and Colorado. He also has offers from Notre Dame, Mississippi State, Illinois, Kansas State, SMU and Minnesota.
“That’s big,” Kincade said of the Oregon State offer. “I’ve been waiting to see if they were going to offer.”
Kincade has been a hot commodity since the end of his junior season and an even hotter commodity after his impressive performance at the Dallas Elite 11 regional camp. Oregon, LSU, LSU, North Carolina, Texas Tech and several other schools have shown major interest in the 6-foot, 180-pound prospect.
Kincade, offered by Oregon State running backs coach Chris Brasfield, is coming off a 2011 season where he threw for 3,270 yards and 37 touchdowns and also ran for 857 yards and 17 touchdowns. Kincade helped Skyline advance to the Texas Class 5A Division I state semifinals.
