Following a good visit to Tennessee two weeks ago, the Volunteers were in solid position for three-star offensive tackle Dan Skipper (Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley).
They’re in an even better spot now. Skipper confirmed late Tuesday night he has verbally committed to the Volunteers.
Skipper, who is 6-foot-8 and 285 pounds, had offers from Arizona State, Missouri and Colorado, among others. Playing in the SEC helped Tennessee’s case.
“It was definitely a big part of my decision because of the quality of the SEC,” Skipper said. “The atmosphere there is incredible, and I know I’m making the right choice.”
Skipper is ranked No. 52 at offensive tackle and No. 3 in Colorado. He is the 13th commitment for Tennessee’s 2013 class and third at offensive tackle.
