Three-star quarterback Connor Feist (Houston/Langham Creek) saw his 2011 season cut short after sustaining a partial fracture to his L3 vertebra. He’s now healthy, excited to kick off his senior season and ready to make some noise in the recruiting world.
Feist is still looking to pick up that first offer, but he has garnered interest from Arkansas, Houston, New Mexico and Central Florida. At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, Feist is ranked No. 52 among pocket-passing quarterbacks nationally and No. 147 among players in the state of Texas for the 2013 class.
“A lot of bigger schools said if I perform the way I did last year, they’d still be interested,” Feist said. “They are going to offer a lot of guys, and those guys can only take one scholarship. After they all commit, it will open up some opportunities for me.”
Feist threw for 2,840 yards and 24 touchdowns as a junior. He threw for 2,681 yards and 21 touchdowns as a sophomore. Additionally, Feist only has thrown 12 picks in two varsity seasons. Feist and Langham Creek will open the season on Aug. 31 against Klein (Texas) Klein Oak.
