Three-star running back Daryl Chestnut (Miami/Christopher Columbus) committed to Texas Tech on Monday via his Twitter account.
The 5-foot-8, 180-pound running back chose Texas Tech over West Virginia and Oklahoma State.
“I JUST COMMITTED TO THE TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY #GUNS UP THANK GOD FOR EVERYTHING,” Chestnut said on his Twitter account.
Chestnut has had a breakthrough senior season, establishing himself as one of the top runners in Miami-Dade County with 1,097 yards and 13 touchdowns on just 89 carries.
He missed Friday’s playoff game against Miami Dr. Krop with an ankle injury but is expected to be healthy this week.
