Indianapolis Decatur Central junior linebacker Jordan Jackson had a number of programs inquire about him in the last week as schools have begun to pick up interest.
Ball State, Illinois, Minnesota and Western Kentucky all stopped by the high school this week to talk to Decatur Central coach Justin Dixson about Jackson.
“Illinois came in during my basketball practice and gave me a quick hello and went to talk to coach Dixson,” Jackson said. “ … Illinois wants me at camp and really likes my film and how I play and will be back. They said they will call me when they’re allowed.”
Ball State passed along a telephone number Jackson can call and wants him to visit the campus when he can. Minnesota and Western Kentucky both plan on making it back to Decatur Central in January, he said.
Jackson said the Gophers told Dixson “they think I’m a really good linebacker.”
This season, Jackson visited Ball State, Indiana and Purdue for games. He is hoping to make it to Phoenix for a combine in early January.
