MASSILLON, Ohio – Class of 2014 receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield) was the standout prospect from the Nike SPARQ Combine over the weekend, but it was only partly because of his performance.
Snodgrass broke out a pair of Superman knee-high socks with red capes attached to the calf as he competed in the events.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound sophomore is both show and substance, though. He already has an offer from Toledo. There was some question as to whether it remained after Tim Beckman left for Illinois, but new coach Matt Campbell reaffirmed the offer.
“My new head coach talked to them last week and he said the offer still stands,” Snodgrass said. “They like that I’m fast and have good hands.”
Toledo originally verbally offered following a camp at Wayne High School during the summer.
Snodgrass has yet to visit Toledo, but he did make it to a few Ohio State games this past season. Michigan State is also showing preliminary interest.
“Michigan State is telling me I’m one of the high ones on their list,” he said.
