Recapping the Irish's recruiting weekend

Notre Dame had its biggest recruiting weekend of the season over the last few days, and RecruitingNation was there to cover it all. The team caught up with several 2013 and 2014 recruits and got the story from each on how the visit to Notre Dame went.

Notre Dame added a big commitment when ESPN 150 WR Torii Hunter Jr. joined the 2013 class.

Our Tom Luginbill gives his take on what Hunter's commitment to Notre Dame means, and fellow commit Corey Robinson was pleased to see that another son of a famous pro athlete would also be signing with Notre Dame in February.

Corey Clement, a member of the ESPN 300, is committed to Pittsburgh, but he visited Notre Dame and was impressed by the academics.

Four-star CB L.J. Moore was making his first official visit of the process and said the Notre Dame visit went great.

OT Blake Bars has ties to both Michigan and Notre Dame.

OT Jimmy Byrne saw the win as evidence Brian Kelly is turning the program around, and he is closer to a decision among his top three of Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State.

WR Corey Holmes was shocked when Notre Dame offered him, and he said the game had "an atmosphere like no other."

TE Ethan Wolf liked what he saw from the Irish's offense and even spoke with Notre Dame tight end Tyler Eifert.

In-state LB Gelen Robinson spent the entire day at Notre Dame on Saturday for a visit.

WR Brandon Fritts liked what he saw from the Notre Dame player walk to the stadium.

LB Clifton Garrett has a Notre Dame offer and was making his first visit for a college game. He said during the visit he already felt like a member of the Irish.

One of the top 2014 offensive tackles in the country, Ross Pierschbacher added an offer from Notre Dame on his visit.

ATH Tommy Mister is leaning toward Notre Dame after talking with assistant Chuck Martin on his visit.

CB Alonzo Saxton has a 2013 teammate headed to Notre Dame in Jacob Matuska, and Saxton realized Notre Dame is not all that different from his high school while visiting -- and that's a good thing.
