Three-star defensive tackle Kenton Gibbs (Detroit/Cass Tech) did not make his visit as planned to Indiana this weekend with 2014 teammate William White.
Gibbs decommitted from Illinois this summer.
“He’s focusing on his season,” Cass Tech assistant coach Jermain Crowell said Friday. “Pitt is really high on him, Wisconsin is still really high. … Pitt wants him to come for an official visit and I know Wisconsin wants him for an official visit but I don’t know when exactly.
“A lot of people are high on him.”
Since breaking off his commitment to Illinois, Gibbs’ recruitment has been relatively quiet. His senior season has taken priority as he has been playing both ways this year.
“He’s a different kind of guy. He’s one of those cerebral guys,” Crowell said. “Whenever we talk about colleges he says, ‘Coach I just want to get back and win another state championship.’”
