Weekend Rewind: Ohio State

Ohio State coaches didn’t have to go far to check on some of their commits and targets last weekend.

On hand in Massillon, Ohio, and Canton, Ohio, for six division state finals, Urban Meyer and a handful of assistants watched commit Jayme Thompson (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic) and target DeShone Kizer knock out commit Cam Burrows (Trotwood, Ohio/Trotwood-Madison) in the Division II state finals.

Thompson had a key stop on fourth-and-2 in the second quarter that led to the win.

They also saw recruit Dante Booker (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary) record nine tackles in the Fighting Irish’s Division III state championship win.

Meyer might have picked up another target as Parris Campbell Jr. ran for 165 yards and three touchdowns in the win for St. Vincent-St. Mary.
