KSU commit Green recruiting Nash, Waters

On Travis Green’s (Omaha, Neb./Iowa Western C.C.) first visit to Kansas State, it was all about recruiting him. On his visit this past weekend as a commitment, it was more about making sure Green is ready to go when he gets to Manhattan in January.

“It was a lot more personal than the last visit,” the 6-foot, 207-pound safety said. “The first time it was kind of the old runaround: ‘Can’t wait to get you here.’ But being committed and being able to come in January, it was more of 'All right, we’re going to do this, here’s your living situation’ and you get more of the team to talk to you saying they can’t wait to see you here.”

Green went with teammates Devon Nash and Jake Waters, and he hopes both join him in Manhattan, Kan. Both expect to decide within the next week.

“I let them know it’d be an honor to play with them again for two more years,” he said. “It’d be a blessing to play with them again. I definitely did my share of recruiting.”
