Juco OT Matt Finnin to commit Friday

One of the top junior college linemen in the country is ready to end things early.

Matt Finnin (Crete, Ill./College of Dupage) told ESPN.com he plans to make a commitment Friday, Dec. 21. Finnin has double-digit offers.

The 6-foot-7, 315-pound offensive tackle took December visits to Kansas (Dec. 7) and Maryland (Dec. 14), and had scheduled visits to Oklahoma (Jan. 11), Nebraska (Jan. 18) and Marshall (Jan. 25). He said those visits will no longer take place.

"I'm just exhausted with this process," Finnin said. "I know where I want to be; it'd be unfair to take those final visits because I just know in my heart where I'm gonna be next year."

Those five schools he set official visits to were Finnin's top five, but Marshall has been Finnin's leader for quite some time. He said Sunday, before announcing he would commit Friday, that Marshall was still his No. 1. The Thundering Herd were the first to offer Finnin.

On Friday, he will announce between Kansas and Marshall on his Facebook page.

Finnin originally signed with Western Michigan out of high school. He has two years of eligibility but will appeal to the NCAA for a third year.
