Since last Monday when Urban Meyer was named head coach at Ohio State, just about every uncommitted ESPNU 150 prospect has been linked to Ohio State. Defensive tackle Tommy Schutt (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West), a Penn State commitment, is the latest.
Chad Hetlet, Schutt's coach at Glenbard West, told ESPNChicago.com's Scott Powers early Wednesday afternoon that Schutt will officially visit Ohio State this upcoming weekend. Schutt is ranked No. 130 in the ESPNU 150.
Schutt was named ESPNChicago.com Defensive Player of the Year after recording 14 sacks, 19 tackles for loss, 19 batted balls and even an interception.
Schutt committed to Penn State in August but were his second choice behind Notre Dame.
Penn State lost its only other ESPNU 150 commitment in November when Windsor (Colo.) offensive tackle Joey O'Connor decommitted shortly after Joe Paterno was fired as the Nittany Lions' coach.
