As planned, ESPNU 150 offensive tackle Jordan Diamond (Chicago/Simeon) did not send in his letter of intent Wednesday. He is expected to announce a decision Friday among Arkansas, Auburn, Michigan and Wisconsin. Ohio State was recently eliminated.
Diamond made official visits to all his finalists. He started with Columbus (Dec. 9), traveled to Auburn the following weekend (Dec. 16), and then took trips on three consecutive weekends in January to Michigan (Jan. 13), Arkansas (Jan. 20) and Wisconsin (Jan. 27).
Florida State, Arizona, Northwestern, Indiana, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Miami, Oregon and Tennessee also offered Diamond, one of the most heavily recruited players in the Midwest for 2012.
His high school teammate, three-star athlete/quarterback Robert Gregory, also will wait to announce. He is considering Arkansas, Kansas, Minnesota and Purdue.
