One of the most coveted running backs in the nation, Ty Isaac (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic), has picked up a couple of offers from storied programs recently and he plans on checking out a few others in the near future.
On March 3, Isaac will visit Notre Dame, a place he has seen multiple times before, including the Irish’s game against USC when many of the country’s top players flooded South Bend.
“Just talk about and see what they’re trying to do up there,” Isaac said is his goal on this coming trip to Notre Dame.
Isaac is taking a similar approach to his Michigan visit the following week on Mar. 10. He said he did take notice of what the Wolverines were able to do over the weekend when they brought in some of the country’s top offensive line prospects. ESPNU Watch List tackles Logan Tuley-Tillman and Kyle Bosch are also from Illinois.
“That’s crazy,” Isaac said of the Wolverines’ recruiting haul. “I knew a couple of them.”
Isaac isn’t saying if it alters his view of Michigan, but it doesn’t hurt.
“I really don’t know at this point, but it’s definitely a good thing.”
Isaac is also working on finalizing details to visit USC in the coming weeks, too.
On Wednesday, Tennessee became the latest program to offer Isaac, who has offers from many of the country’s elite programs. Volunteers running backs coach Jay Graham sent out the offer.
A few days earlier, Oklahoma running backs coach Cale Gundy offered.
“They liked my tape, and they’re trying to get me down there [to visit],” said Isaac, who said the Vols are also attempting to get him on campus.
