Three-star safety Austin Logan (Tallahassee, Fla./Florida) has his decision out of the way prior to the start of his senior season.
The 6-foot-1, 181-pound prospect announced his intentions of heading to the Big Ten conference and attend Purdue on Tuesday afternoon at the Big Bend's Media Day in Tallahassee, Fla.
"The people at Purdue, the coaching staff and the direction that the program is headed," Logan said of what he found to be the difference maker. "I really believe that Purdue is going to be in the Big Ten championship in the next two years."
Logan's hometown has a comfortable feel to it, according to him. And it seems like his next place of residence will be more of the same.
"I just liked how West Lafayette resembles Tallahassee so much," he mentioned. "It is a nice college town."
Academics were always going to be a big factor in Logan's decision. Purdue's programs fit what he was looking for, and while he isn't sure exactly what major he will choose, the correct options are in place.
"I want to study education or journalism, but I want to try out a lot of different things and then I will declare my major," Logan said.
