Ball State assistant Joey Lynch visited Shaker Heights (Ohio) safety/running back Antonio Johnson at his home on Monday, and during the in-home visit Johnson set up his first official visit.
On Friday, Johnson, rated a two-star at safety, will officially visit Ball State, he told ESPN.com. It is his first official visit of the recruiting process.
"Coach Lynch laid everything out for my official visit," Johnson wrote in a text message. "He told me how everything will be paid for ... and went through the whole schedule for the 48 hours and what to expect."
Akron and Ball State are Johnson's only offers, but he has interest from Eastern Michigan, Miami (Ohio) and Minnesota.
