Jaleel Hytchye likes UK's hiring of Stoops

Kentucky has been a team that has remained in contention for four-star cornerback Jaleel Hytchye (Cincinnati/La Salle) for quite some time, but the Wildcats dropped a bit last month as Joker Phillips's seat got hotter.

With a new coach in place, Hytchye's concerns are assuaged and the Wildcats could land an official visit. The hiring of former Florida State defensive coordinator Mark Stoops had a big impression on Hytchye.

"It was a great hire," he said. "I'm anxious to meet the new staff."

Hytchye's first official visit will go to Pittsburgh the weekend of Dec. 7, and that will be followed with an official to Northwestern on Dec. 14.

Arizona State and Penn State could also receive an official visit. Hytchye, No. 20 in Ohio, is still weighing the idea of playing at Penn State as it continues to deal with NCAA sanctions.
