Tulane plucks another from John Curtis

Three-star running back Sherman Badie has become the fourth 2013 prospect from John Curtis Christian High School (River Ridge, La.) to select the Green Wave, according to multiple reports.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound prospect joins two-star cornerback Richard Allen, offensive lineman Brandon Godfrey and linebacker Eric Thomas.

Badie selected Tulane over scholarship offers from Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, McNeese State, Memphis, Minnesota and North Texas. LSU and Mississippi State expressed some early interest.

His ESPN evaluation: "Badie is a strong, downhill runner with a tough grinding style. This guy lacks a lot of flash and is not overly fast or elusive but he is a hard, second-effort runner who can get the difficult yards and wear down a defense while doing so."

Tulane holds 18 pledges for 2013.
