Class of 2014 dual-threat quarterback Rafe Peavey (Bolivar, Mo.) has made an early commitment to play for Arkansas, multiple sources report.
"Since there's not an NFL team in Arkansas, everybody loves the Razorbacks," Peavey told KSRP.com. "Their facilities are awesome."
Boston College, Connecticut, Indiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Ole Miss, South Florida, UCLA and West Virginia also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-2, 205-pound signal-caller.
Peavey threw for 1,734 yards and 20 touchdowns and also rushed for 465 yards and 13 more scores last fall.
His father, Jack Peavey, played offensive line in the NFL for the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos.
Rafe is the first 2014 verbal for Arkansas.
