Tight end Tommy Myers (Coventry, Conn.) is set to follow in the footsteps of his parents at UConn after committing to the program, according to the Journal Inquirer.
His father, Norman, was a member of the football team at UConn from 1981-85 while his mother, Peggy, played women's basketball from 1982-86.
Myers is a 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect who selected UConn over scholarship offers from Temple and Fordham. He's also the New England javelin champion.
The Huskies currently hold five pledges for 2013.
