Four-star wide receiver Richard Benjamin (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Bay Tech) verbally committed to UCF on Monday, Derek Tyson of ESPN's GatorNation.com reports. The 6-foot, 195-pound athlete, chose the Knights over USF and Vanderbilt.
As a junior Benjamin, who is the No. 181-ranked player in the country, rushed for 501 yards on 58 carries and also totaled 450 receiving yards on 26 catches.
For UCF, Benjamin becomes the second four-star and 11th prospect overall to commit to the Knights. He is also UCF's first wide receiver commit of their 2013 recruiting class.
Benjamin joins Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake quarterback Pete DiNovo, who committed to UCF on July 3.
