The Thundering Herd got back to work on the recruiting trail last weekend picking up a commitment from three-star pocket-passer Kevin Anderson (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton Community), multiple sources report.
“WE ARE MARSHALL!!” Anderson posted on his Facebook page. “I am officially committed to MARSHALL UNIVERSITY!!!”
Illinois State and Jacksonville State also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-1, 189-pound quarterback. According to the Palm Beach Post, Wisconsin showed interest.
Over the past two seasons, Anderson has completed 209 of 417 attempts (50 percent) for 3,054 yards, 22 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.
Before his sophomore year, Anderson posted a 5.32 40-yard dash, 4.78 20-yard shuttle and 19.5-inch vertical on the combine circuit.
Marshall now has four pledges.
