Irvin-Sills decommits, considering three

High three-star cornerback Jahmere Irvin-Sills (Elkton, Md./Eastern Christian) has decommitted from Auburn following the departure of former head coach Gene Chizik, multiple sources report.

However, the Tigers remain in the mix for Irvin-Sills. The 5-foot-9, 173-pound senior is still considering Auburn along with Ole Miss and West Virginia. Boston College, Hawaii, Houston, Maryland, North Carolina State, Rutgers, Southern Miss and Temple are his other offers.

ESPN calls him, "a scheme versatile, aggressive DB with good production and skill-set at both corner and safety... an impressive prospect falling under the radar a bit with his productivity around the football and versatility. Added size will likely see this prospect rise up the recruiting board."

This is not Auburn's first recruiting loss since the news of Chizik's firing broke. ESPN 150 inside linebacker Trey Johnson (Lawrenceville, Ga./Central Gwinnett) decommitted and is now also looking at Florida, Ohio State and USC. Four-star, post-graduate wide receiver Ja'Quay Williams (Tyrone, Ga./Fork Union Military), who signed with Auburn in 2012, has also opened up his recruitment and is considering Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State and Texas A&M among others.

Auburn's nationally-ranked recruiting class is now down to 16 verbals.
