Spartans nab K Michael Geiger

Three-star Michael Geiger (Toledo, Ohio/Ottawa Hills), ESPN's No. 12-rated kicking prospect for 2013, has pledged to sign with Michigan State, according to multiple reports. He was recruited by Spartans linebackers coach / special teams coach Mike Tressel.

Geiger posted on Twitter, "Just Committed to Michigan State University on a full ride scholarship! #GoGreen #Spartans" The Tweet included a picture of Geiger with MSU head coach Mark Dantonio.

Geiger, a 5-foot-9, 166-pound Semper Fidelis All-American, originally committed to Boston College in June but reopened his recruitment following the Eagles' coaching change.
