Three-star offensive guard Brad Henson Jr. (Toms River, N.J./Monsignor Donovan) decommitted Sunday from Virginia in favor of North Carolina, according to multiple reports.
Henson, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound senior, originally committed to the Cavaliers in June.
His other scholarship offers include Boston College, Connecticut, East Carolina, Miami-FL, North Carolina State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, Temple, Tennessee, Central Florida, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
ESPN describes Henson as an "efficient assignment blocker as a center. However we feel his size and athleticism are better suited for the offensive guard position at the major level of competition; could provide valuable depth at the center spot."
The Tar Heels now have 19 players on board in their nationally-ranked class of 2013.
