Scouts: Thomas a great fit for GT

Choosing Georgia Tech over Alabama might actually benefit 5-foot-11, 180-pound athlete Justin Thomas (Prattville, Ala./Prattville), as his dual-threat quarterback skill-set projects extremely well in Tech's option offense.

A likely receiver or defensive back for the Tide, Thomas could prove to be an instrumental land for the Yellow Jackets behind center, given his speed, versatility and athleticism. He has great quickness and suddenness to make defenders miss on keepers, and while he's a bit of slinger as a passer, Thomas has good accuracy and should be able to make all the throws required in coach Paul Johnson's offense that should cater around the Alabama native's talents.
