ESPN 300 athlete makes late switch

Four-star athlete Tre'vell Dixon (Baldwin, La./West St. Mary) flipped his pledge Tuesday from Nebraska to Arizona State, multiple sources report. He officially visited the Sun Devils last weekend.

Dixon used up all five of his allotted official visit dates making trips to Nebraska (Nov. 16), Houston (Dec. 14), Louisiana-Lafayette (Jan. 18) and Southern Miss (Jan. 25). Texas A&M and Texas Tech also offered.

ESPN states in its evaluation: "Dixon's versatility, combined with his measurables, gives him value and, from a coach's perspective, allows for positional opportunities. We like Dixon as a playmaker and he is an instinctive runner. Good prospect."
