Cavs land Watch List OL Steven Moss

Highly coveted ESPN Watch List offensive guard Steven Moss (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor) committed Saturday to sign with Virginia, multiple sources report.

He selected the Cavs over scholarship offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Boston College, Clemson, UConn, East Carolina, Florida State, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Oklahoma, Old Dominion, Penn State, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

“I have always liked [Virginia],” Moss told the Free Lance-Star. “I had been taking my time and going to all these colleges. I realized which one I liked and it was UVa ... It just feels like home. Here, I’m treated like I’m one of their sons and not just a piece on the depth chart.”

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound prospect's primary recruiter was Virginia offensive line/tight ends coach Scott Wachenheim.

Moss is a two-time all-district selection and earned all-area honors as a junior.

He is Virgina's third 2014 pledge, joining ESPN Watch List safety Quin Blanding (Virginia Beach, Va./Bayside) and defensive lineman Chris Nelson (Lakeland, Fla./Victory Christian).
