South Florida secured a commitment from athlete Quinton Flowers (Miami/Jackson), according to media reports.
The Bulls topped Appalachian State, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Illinois, Kentucky, Marshall, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, TCU, Tennessee, UCF and West Virginia, which all offered, for Flowers' pledge.
LSU, Miami (Fla.) and Oregon also expressed interest in the 6-foot, 203-pound prospect.
Flowers posted an electronically-timed 4.72 40-yard dash, 4.53 20-yard shuttle, 31.2-inch vertical, 37-foot power throw and 87.33 SPARQ on this spring's Nike combine circuit.
South Florida has six commitments for 2014, all coming from the Sunshine State.
