Offensive linemen Josh Krok (Niles, Ohio/McKinley) has become West Virginia's sixth pledge for 2014, according to the Warren Tribune Chronicle.
The Mountaineers topped Cincinnati and Louisville for Krok's verbal. Akron, Kent State, Kentucky and Toledo also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-7, 300-pound blocker. Michigan State showed interest.
"It was the people down there that really sold me on it," he said. "They were all very approachable and will be great to work with. ... It's a great football town, too, just like Niles. It's a great fit."
Krok was a special mention Division III all-state and first team all-district selection as a junior.
West Virginia entered June with just two commitments. Over the last few days the Mountaineers have gained a pair of ESPN 300 receivers from Miami -- Lamar Parker (Miami/Booker T. Washington) and Jake McCrary (Miami/Coral Reef) -- and a pair of offensive tackles, Amanii Brown (Morgantown, W.V./Morgantown) and Krok.
