The Huskies got on the board for 2014 this week with the addition of in-state quarterback Logan Marchi (Bristol, Conn./St. Paul's Catholic).
Marchi, a 6-foot, 180-pound prospect, selected Connecticut over a scholarship offer from Temple. Boston College and Rutgers also expressed interest.
He spoke with the Hartford Courant about his decision: "I've been going to camp at UConn since I was 7 years old and have kept in touch with some of the coaches ever since. I was debating between Temple and UConn. If I didn't hear from UConn, I probably would have gone to Temple, so it was great UConn stepped up."
Marchi passed for 2,935 yards and 38 touchdowns and rushed for 318 yards and 5 more scores as a junior.
