Kansas gained a commitment from rising senior wide receiver Tyler Patrick (The Woodlands, Texas/The Woodlands), the Kansas City Star reports.
Patrick, a 5-foot-11, 171-pound prospect, selected the Jayhawks over scholarship offers from Air Force, Lamar and Louisiana-Monroe. California showed interest.
He registered an electronically-timed 4.57 40-yard dash, 4.09 20-yard shuttle, 31.5-inch vertical, 34-foot power throw and 96.3 SPARQ this spring at a Nike combine. Additionally, Patrick ran a 4.4-second 40 in June at Kansas' Friday Night Lights camp.
Tha Jayhawks have seven players on board for this recruiting cycle.
