Juco makeover continues for Jayhawks

New head coach Charlie Weis has added two more commitments from junior college players, multiple sources report.

6-foot-3, 200-pound Arizona West College (Yuma, Ariz.) wide receiver Joshua Ford has picked the Jayhawks over scholarship offers from New Mexico and Middle Tennessee. He originally committed to New Mexico in 2010 as a three-star out of Calvin Coolidge High School (Washington, D.C.).

Additionally, Weis flipped Scottsdale (Ariz.) Community College tight end Charles Brooks from Florida International. The 6-foot-5, 245-pounder was also pursued by Middle Tennessee and Savannah State.

Kansas now has five junior college prospects on board for 2012. At this time, more than half of the Jayhawks' class consists of players with experience beyond high school. Former Notre Dame quarterback Dayne Crist and former BYU signal-caller Jake Heaps are also transferring to Kansas according to reports.
