Under Armour All-American athlete Trey Griffey (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips), the son of Major League Baseball legend Ken Griffey Jr., has committed to play for Arizona, multiple sources report.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect was in Tuscon, Ariz. for an official visit over the weekend. Prior to his date with Arizona, Griffey completed an official visit with the Sun Devils.
Trey was offered by Arizona State, Iowa State, Michigan State, Washington State, South Alabama, Florida A&M, Ball State, Buffalo, Florida International, Florida Atlantic, Middle Tennessee and Samford.
ESPN's scouts feels that the three-star's combination of size, ball skills and instincts make him a fit on either side of the ball.
Joining Griffey on Arizona's list of commitments Monday was 6-foot-3, 190-pound outside linebacker / safety Yamen Sanders (Culver City, Calif.), who was also on campus for a visit last weekend.
