ESPN 300 TE Luke Farrell commits to Buckeyes

Luke Farrell gave Ohio State three commitments for the week Friday when he announced his pledge to the Buckeyes. The ESPN 300 tight end was in attendance at Friday Night Lights in Columbus and decided it was time to end his recruitment.

Farrell joins ESPN 300 defensive end Nick Bosa and ESPN Junior 300 defensive tackle Jerron Cage as the three Buckeyes pledges this week.

Ohio State now has two ESPN 300 tight end commits with Farrell and fellow Ohio prospect Jake Hausmann. Farrell's announcement gives coach Urban Meyer and his staff 12 ESPN 300 commitments and 19 total commits for the 2016 class.

LSU is the only school with more ESPN 300 commitments than the Buckeyes at the moment, and Florida State and Georgia are the only two schools with more five-star commitments than the Buckeyes.

Prior to the Farrell and Bosa commitments, Ohio State had the No. 3-ranked class overall. It's safe to say that the Buckeyes are likely on the rise in the rankings after this big week.
