UA jersey tour: ESPN 300 QB Sean Clifford

ESPN 300 quarterback Sean Clifford, a Penn State commit, received his Under Armour All-America Game jersey Sept. 13 in a presentation sponsored by American Family Insurance.

“It is a great honor to be a UA All-American,” said Clifford. “I am very excited to be able to represent my family, school, and Penn State in one of the most prestigious high school games in the country.”

Clifford was not the only St. Xavier High player that received the prestigious honor. He will head to Orlando in late December with his teammate and best friend Matt Bockhorst.

“It is incredible to my school to have not one but two All-Americans, and it makes my experience so much better to have my best friend with me,” Clifford said.

Five questions with Clifford:

What players are you looking forward to competing with or against at the Under Armour All America game?

"I'm excited to compete with Joshua Kaindoh, Robert Hainsey, Lamont Wade, and my teammate Matt Bockhorst.”

What is your earliest football memory?

"My earliest football memory is diving for the first down in flag football to win the game and being covered in mud on my whole left side.”

If you could take on any professional athlete in their sport, who would it be?

"I would take on LeBron James in a pick up basketball game.”

What number do you wear, and why?

"I wear number 14 just because I was given it.”

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

"People would be surprised to know that I listen to Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars.”

The 2017 Under Armour All-America Game will be played on January 1 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., on ESPN with practices televised on ESPNU during the week.
