Cornerback Kary Vincent received his Under Armour All-America Game jersey Friday in a presentation sponsored by American Family Insurance at Memorial High School in Port Arthur, Texas.
“It’s a dream come true,” Said Vincent. “It’s a surreal feeling and it’s a blessing. It’s an honor, and I play to try and live up to that honor,”
The 5-foot-11, 172-pound cornerback with seven interceptions this season through nine games saw Friday’s ceremony as a big day for the Port Arthur community.
Four questions with Kary Vincent:
What players are you looking forward to competing with or against at the Under Armour All America game?
“I know my boys Grant Delpit and Jhamon [Aubson], my fellow LSU commits, and Jalen Reagor and Amari Rodgers … there are a lot of guys I’m looking forward to competing against.”
What is your earliest football memory?
“My first year playing, I was seven years old playing in Houston and did a flip into the end zone. It’s on my instagram page."
What number do you wear, and why?
“I wear number five. My dad was five in high school, so it’s a tradition thing for my family.”
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
“I’m really just a real goofy and talkative person. I like to interact with people, and I like making people smile and have fun.”
