Washington didn’t close out the 2017 class as many expected, but the Huskies are taking full advantage of the run to the College Football Playoff. With ESPN Junior 300 quarterback Jacob Sirmon and linebacker Jack Sirmon already in the fold, Washington added a third ranked pledge on Friday when receiver Austin Osborne committed.

Significance of impact: Getting Jacob Sirmon on board very early, combined with the 2016 season has already proven to be huge for the Washington program in the 2018 class with Osborne having jumped on board this early over offers from Pac-12 competitors UCLA, Oregon, California and Colorado, along with Miami, Louisville and a number of others in the ACC. Washington must have a certain amount of success in California to maximize their ability as a program and reeling in Osborne from Southern California power Mission Viejo is an impactful early win on the trail in 2018.
