Three-star LB Brandon Bell makes the call

Penn State landed a commitment from high three-star outside linebacker Brandon Bell (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest), according to multiple sources.

Boston College, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Northwestern, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, West Virginia, Central Florida and Temple also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot, 225-pound prospect.

Bell, the nation's No. 57-rated OLB, is the first linebacker verbal in 2013 for the Nittany Lions. Penn State has 11 players on board in this recruiting cycle.
