Big week for the Minutemen

According to multiple reports, UMass picked up five new commitments over the past seven days.

Two-star offensive tackle Jordan Page (Pennington, N.J./Pennington School) is the latest addition. He selected the Minutemen over an offer from Temple and interest from North Carolina, N.C. State and Pittsburgh. Page posted on his Twitter account: "After a long recruiting process I've decided to play football at the university of massachusetts let's goo!! #minutemen."

Joining Page along the offensive line will be Richard Queen (Oradell, N.J./Bergen Catholic). He spoke with XOFan.com about his decision: “I went up for camp and I really loved it there. The atmosphere and the coaches were great and they gave me an official offer which meant a lot to me."

Cole Ormsby (Windsor, Conn.), a 6-foot-4, 218-pound defensive end, became the first 2013 defensive lineman to select the Minutemen. He registered an electronically-timed 4.97 40-yard dash, 4.57 20-yard shuttle, 25.8-inch vertical and 76.2 SPARQ this spring on the Nike Combine tour.
