Duke wins the battle for Terrance Alls

Senior wide receiver Terrance Alls (Miami/Dade Christian) committed to play in the Atlantic Coast Conference for the Duke Blue Devils, multiple sources report.

Boston College, Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Kansas, Kentucky, Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Temple, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and West Virginia also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot, 165-pound prospect. Florida and Miami (Fla.) were among the other programs that showed interest.

"He was impressed with Duke's academic reputation and with coach [David] Cutcliffe, his experience and the fact that he's well respected in college football," Dade Christian coach Mike Sonneborn told the News Observer. "He's got some extended family in Raleigh, and it's just a quick flight for his parents in South Florida."

Alls is commitment No. 14 for Duke. The Devils received several verbals in June but remained quiet throughout July, picking up just one pledge.
