Tight end Mack Weaver picks Vanderbilt

The Commodores have received a pledge from four-star TE-Y Mack Weaver (Memphis, Tenn./Harding), multiple sources report.

Weaver, who also plays defensive end, posted on Twitter, "Verbally committed to Vanderbilt!!! #AnchorDown"

Arizona State, Arkansas, Ball State, Cincinnati, Clemson, Duke, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Purdue, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Virginia and Western Kentucky also offered.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound two-way talent caught eight passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns and registered 78 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 11 sacks during his junior season.

Vanderbilt now has 21 verbals in its nationally-ranked recruiting class.
